Contribution and influence of CSOs on water governance in the GangesBrahmaputra-Meghna basin

Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) in the Ganges-Brahmaputra-Meghna (GBM) , focusing on water issues, lack technical expertise and resources for effective engagement in decision-making. Enhanced capacity could bolster their role in transboundary water management.the BRIDGE GBM project, facilitated by IUCN, aims to build the capacity of a network of CSOs in the GBM basins to improve their ability to engage in transboundary water management issues.This report is intended to provide a reference point for periodically reassessing the activities, challenges and the impacts of the BRIDGE GBM CSO Network on the water governance space. The report is mainly based on a survey conducted in June–July 2018.
