DAMS: Water flows regulation in a fragmented world
Planning, development and operation of dams are currently at the center of a number of disputes between riparian countries. In many countries, domestic frameworks relating to dams may be weak or inadequate and cannot sufficiently protect the rights of affected communities. the joint initiative has produced this reference document to guide practitioners and policy-makers. This document serves as a tool for national and international actors involved in the planning and development of dams in transboundary watercourses.
